Holy Crap, has it really been 19 days?
Yes, because I haven't had a moment to breathe, and I still don't, but here's the dish - deep like Chi-Town pizza:
A couple months ago I wrote a post about how everyone was crazy because Tiger "lost" the Masters by coming in second. Yes, by definition of the word, he lost. But he came in second, which equated to, "not a strong showing for Tiger." Last time I checked, second is right off First, which, by definition would be the Strongest showing of the field - but this rule somehow does not apply to Tiger. Would a strong showing for Tiger be coming in better than first?
Then it came out that he had a bum knee for that tourney, and no one cut him a break. He went in for surgery, maybe rushed back to play in the U.S. Open this past weekend, and with the tourney on the line, he ices a 12 ft putt for birdie to send it into a playoff.
Amazing right?
Apparently not. This is the first time Tiger has lost a lead going into the final day of a tourney and been forced to fight back for the playoff. Nevermind that the guy is hobbling all over the golf course, or that he basically took a two month hiatus from the game...Tiger is slipping something awful, right?
Wrong. You are all idiots and deserved to be treated as such. Win or Lose (and don't get me wrong, he will Win and Win soundly. His steel nerves will still be holding up after Mediate has melted into a puddle on the 10th tee), this is a victory. Tiger at 80% can still force a playoff at the U.S. Open when he's down to his last putt. Tiger at 100% WILL find a way to somehow finish better than 1st someday...getcha popcorn.

Mark it.
Yeah, Tiger just won the U.S. Open in a sudden death playoff.
Sometimes I get frustrated with being so right.
